Why Málaga,
and why now
Málaga is no longer a compromise location. The universities of Málaga and Granada produce thousands of engineers a year and the international community is deep. It is also competitive: Google, Vodafone, Accenture and Fujitsu hire here too. Finding people is solvable. Keeping them is the work.
The economics: a 40-person engineering team in your own entity costs roughly half the employer cost of the same team in Zurich. What you own is not a balance sheet asset. It is control: your contracts, your salary bands, your roadmap, and no vendor margin per head.
“What happens if we need to shrink, or want to leave?”
Honestly: an owned entity is less flexible than a vendor contract. Spanish employment law applies to you, not to us, and reducing a team costs real money. That is the trade. What you get for it is a team nobody can withdraw, no supplier margin on every head, and engineers employed by you. We are the operator, and our agreement says how you replace us.
What we have done
Three companies have set up their own Málaga entity with rindus supporting the legal and operational work: a German fintech, a European energy storage group, and an automotive data company. Two were rindus dedicated-team clients first. They outgrew that model, and we helped them own instead. Named references on request.
rindus has been building software operations in Málaga for over a decade. We didn’t arrive when it became fashionable. We’ve been part of building what Málaga is today.
